Making Money Online - Focusing Your Mind

Just like anything in life, you need to think about something before you actually do anything about it.

It is even doubly so where Making Money Online and the Internet is concerned.  You really need to focus your mind on your tasks ahead, if you are ever to make any inroads to success.

As I have said earlier, the biggest procrastination for internet marketers is information overload.

It can be so easy at times, to miss certain areas of importance and end up feeling confused, but we will try to train your mind to check and double check, so this does not occur too often.

Before we delve too deep into this area, I want to mention three words, which in my opinion will set you on the road to success for years to come.

I want you to remember them and always practice them, as I promise you, that providing you keep these three words in your mind, it will bode well for your future.

These words are:

SELF-CONFIDENCE   -   DETERMINATION   -   SELF BELIEF

You have to have Self-Confidence, in other words, no matter what other people say or think, you have to believe in yourself.  The way I look at these three words is this:

Two of the words really mean the same thing, Self-Confidence and Self-belief, So for me, I have the self confidence to write this article, and I have the determination to see it through, and finally I have the self belief that you will enjoy reading it, and at least gain some important information from it.

The same three words works the same way for you in whatever you do in life. You must have the self confidence to make that decision to start your new career on the Internet and earn money working from home.

You must have the determination to see it through to a successful completion, and you must have the self belief that it will be a success making money at home.

Now success is measured in many ways, but for you in the beginning, small chunks of success on a regular basis is all you need.

The three words are linked so closely, if you have self confidence, it will provide you with the determination to proceed and finish the project, which will be successful, which in turn provides self belief.

That is all I am going to say on this subject, there are many books such as (eat that frog), if you really want to learn more, but in short just learn and practice these three words.

Procrastination

For the most part, people are of the opinion that the only way to earn a living is by having a job, that is to say - being employed by someone, an organisation, company or whatever.

With so many companies and corporations continually downsizing every day, jobs are not as secure as they once were. Technology is used in place of people, consequently rendering many people jobs as no longer necessary.

Another major cause of job loss is companies are switching to countries that employ cheaper labour enabling them to keep their costs as low as they possibly can. This is happening all across the board in many different industries.

Competition for the few well paid jobs that are still available is very fierce and companies have very high criterions in place to ensure that they get what they consider is the ‘cream of the crop’ contenders to fill these vacancies.

You’d probably be surprised to hear (or maybe not) that many people get a job because they feel that they are not worthy enough to do anything else. A job is a safety net so that they can pay the bills and for the majority their wages don’t cover much more than that.

People used to feel safe with having a job, to pay the bills and if there was anything left out of their wages, enjoy leisure activities and so on. Having a job means;

• You are employed by someone else
• You have (mostly) ‘set in stone’ hours of work
• You have to go through a work period of mind numbingly boring tasks
• You have to do as you are told
• You have to prove yourself to gain promotion
• You may have to work with people you dislike
• You have to work long hours for little pay
• You have to work night shifts
• You have precious little time to spend with loved ones

A job is based on what you have to do rather than what you desire to do. Being told that work requires you to do certain tasks goes way back to our childhood. Your desires to do a particular thing was probably dashed by your parents telling you that you were just being selfish or that you were too young to know what you wanted.

This goes on to form a pattern that desire equates to self indulgence and that doesn’t conform.

The distinction between the workers who desire to do the work and those that don’t, can be the difference between high quality and low quality work, work done promptly and work that runs behind schedule and work that finds answers to problems and work that grinds down when problems arise.

How many people that you know if you were to ask (be truthful here) if they were happy in their job would reply with the answer yes? The answer from many of them would be no -right? In truth, the only people who are completely happy with their job are those people that actually like their job, most complain about this or that aspect of their job requisites.

The sad thing is that most of these people don’t do a thing about it because they have been effectively brainwashed (since childhood) that desires are indulgent and that you have to have a job to survive in this world.

Having a job for the most part does not involve your desires  but your needs. The need to provide for your family, pay the mortgage, the utility bills and any other commodity that needs to be paid for.

When you desire something, you have a real passion for whatever it maybe. That passion will be what drives you to succeed in your particular desire.

Escaping a life of constant stress of deadlines, downsizing worries, being passed over for promotion, covering the workload of employees off sick, targets (and the list goes on) is a desire for many people.

Why do most people just accept their lot in life and bury their true desires? It’s because they are scared, genuinely scared that they must conform to the work ethic of having a job. Also, that they won’t be able to build a better quality of life for themselves and their family if they don’t.

Procrastination is one of the biggest problems that people face when taking action on their desires. Procrastination means to ‘put off’ a task or action and allowing yourself to be distracted by something else. You must not allow yourself to procrastinate at the expense of your well being and happiness and most of all – your desires, to Making Money Online.

You must train your mind to be true to yourself and acknowledge your desires. Your mindset is a crucial component when considering giving in to your desires and leaving that job behind.

Qualifications are not the be all and end all to achieve success and your ability to perform any given task is probably a great deal higher than you give yourself credit for. Whilst you may not have certificates for qualifications gained, it doesn’t mean that you aren’t clever enough to adapt yourself.

Ten years ago, my brother in law wanted to escape his drudge of a job in a factory and decided he wanted a career as a Police Officer. This would have meant a career with more money and promotion prospects. After applying and realising that he would have to do an aptitude test which involved writing (he wasn’t so good at spelling) he decided against it.

When I suggested to him that he could overcome this problem by studying (at home) in his spare time for a short while – he said “oh no, I wouldn’t be able to do it” Ten years on and he is still doing that drudge of a job and hates every minute of it. He had programmed his mind of the mindset that he couldn’t possibly do it, so he wouldn’t even try it.

The frustrating part was the fact that he could have done it with a little preparation, but he was afraid. I know that he regrets his decision made all those years ago, but sadly, I also know that he will stay in that job until he retires or is made redundant because he is scared to surrender to his desires.

If you tell yourself that you can’t do something enough times, your mind will convince you that you will fail so why bother? The mind has a very powerful influence over any decisions you make and will have a bearing on any outcomes.

Training your mindset to think of all the positives that will result from attaining your desires will help you to achieve your goals and make you realise that you are much more capable of change than you originally thought.

Having a better quality of life for yourself and your family is high up the list on most people’s agendas. To obtain those objectives will take guts and determination on your part and most of all, the will to be a success story.

Think about your desires for a minute, what do you want to achieve in your life?

• A bigger house
• A top of the range Mercedes
• Luxury holidays
• More money
• Freedom from debt
• Quality time with your loved ones

Those are just a few of the desires that many people would love to achieve. Everyone is different and therefore each individual has their own interpretation of desires. Maybe you’d love to have spare hours every day to play golf and the money to buy the best golf clubs that money can buy.

Having the time to fulfil their desires is a luxury that most people just plain can’t afford when having a job. Let’s be honest, most people that are employed, receive low wages and have to work long hours. Moreover, they rarely have the time or the money to be able to enjoy a lifestyle they desire.

If you could turn your life around and fulfil your desires you would wouldn’t you? Well, allow me to let you into a little secret, you can and what’s more you deserve to. You owe it to yourself to improve every aspect of your life and start enjoying it!

You can do it, deep down; you know that you can do it! All it takes is the desire to want to change and the world is your oyster, literally! Nothing is beyond anyone if they want it badly enough, do you want it badly enough?

Some people are so scared of losing their job security (not that there’s much job security these days) that they ridicule people who tell them that they are giving up the rat race to be the master of their own destiny. The sad truth is that they are jealous, jealous because they haven’t got the guts and strength of mind to break free from the job trap.

When I left my job over six years ago I had to endure many of my colleagues (who thought they meant well) asking me if I was sure that I should leave my job to begin my own venture. I had to think about that one! – I mean, did I really want to leave my stressful job as an Administration Manager? The long hours and pay which truly did not reflect all I had to tolerate, boy was that a tough decision!

Getting home late due to one crisis or another (which happened quite frequently) all I wanted to do was eat and go to bed. I was so dog tired I could barely think straight. Sleep often evaded me, so I was continually exhausted and one day I realised this couldn’t go on. I was burning myself out for a rubbish salary – I was on a fixed salary which meant that my hours of work were within the exigencies of the job. My loss and the company’s gain!

It’s the best thing I’ve ever done and now that nightmare of a job is just a distant nightmare. My wife can’t believe the transformation in me, she say’s it’s like being married to someone else! My life has improved a thousand percent and I can’t imagine ever working for someone else ever again. To be totally honest with you, the thought of having to get a job again would fill me with dread.

I couldn’t go through all that stress again, not now I’ve had a taste of freedom from the shackles of my job. I am now only answerable to myself, no one else, just me and that’s just how I like it! I surrendered to my desires and I am reaping the benefits.

People are scared of change, but you know, despite all the doubters out there, it can work – if you want it to. Don’t be a procrastinator, do something about your life and ring in the changes, you’ll be so glad you did – trust me!

So go on, try it start Making Money Online working from home, it will be the best decisionyou have ever made.
