The Internet is a whole new world, literally millions upon millions of people surf the net every hour of every day. Billions of dollars changes hands every day on the Internet.

More importantly, YOU want your slice of this gigantic cake. If done properly, that slice of cake can be very rewarding indeed.

There are many areas of the Internet where you can make substantial amounts of earnings on a regular basis, from Affiliate Marketing to Adsense, Selling Products to Lead Generation, Advertising to blogging, the list just goes on and on, and more ways are appearing every week.

This site will only touch on just a few of these money earning opportunities, ones that have been proven over time, but let’s be clear about this, there are so many opportunities out there today, that it would take literally hundreds of pages to list them all, it just shows how easy Making Money Online can be.

Don’t get me wrong though! If not done properly, you can also loose your shirt, I have heard stories where people have spent literally thousands of dollars on Pay Per Click Advertising and only made $70 dollars commission.

I personally believe that you should try to achieve the free advertising methods, such as blogging and article submission, to name but a few at first, before you start to throw money at the PPC method.

Adwords can be profitable, but it’s how you go about it that makes it work for you or not, and I would recommend you purchase a specialist book or course to learn more about this area prior to throwing money at it, it will certainly save you money in the long run.

You also need to do some research into the different areas of profitability and also to see which of these areas would suit you. As your empire grows, you can add new opportunities to your portfolio and expand into many of these areas, but let’s start slowly to begin with.

Affiliate Marketing is usually the starting point for most newcomers to the Internet World, because it is probably the easiest to learn and grow. The opportunities are so vast in size and subject; we cover this in a little more detail later.

Adsense is closely followed in new start ups, because it usually involves people’s passion about the subject they are writing about, so again it is easy for them to commence.

My idea of building a successful internet business which will provide a sound and ongoing long term income stream is a mixture of many.

Irrespective of which area that you decide is right for you, you need to ensure that everything you do is targeted and structured professionally.

If you are going to launch a website with Adsense, you must from the onset, ensure that it looks professional and appealing to your potential visitors – you don’t get a second chance with potential buyers or clickers.

So do spend a little time thinking about how to lay out your pages, look around the web at other sites, and decide which looks appealing and which sites makes you click away.

You should also consider investing a few dollars in the appropriate tools to enable you to achieve this, such as, a good website builder, some decent Graphics, Pictures and Headers, etc. I promise you that it will be money well spent in the long run.

Just to give you an idea of how big your piece of cake might be, no matter which avenue you follow, take a look at this example:

You join an affiliate program (lets say: Clickbank), find a product (an ebook on ?????) which sells for $27 and provides a 50% commission.

The subject of the book relates to your website content so would be an ideal plug to your potential readers.

Bearing in mind that there are literally millions of surfers every day, you would only need a mere 1% of them to visit your site, and again a mere 1% of the visitors to click though and purchase, just take a look at your potential profits:

Let’s work it out on 1 Million Surfers:

1% of 1 Million = 10,000

1% of 10,000 = 100

Now let’s say your commission on the ebook that you are marketing is 50% of $27 less fees, just to make it easy to calculate, let’s say you earn 10 bucks per sale.

$10 x 100 sales = $1000

Now times this by 3 days per week (just to be conservative, although it could be 7 days per week)

$1000 x 3 Days per week = $3000

Now let’s say just for arguments sake there is only 4 weeks per month.

$3000 x 4 Weeks = $12,000 per month in potential income.

$12,000 x 12 Months = $144,000 per annum.

You must obviously deduct your operating costs from this calculation, but you can see the potential here, and that’s just for one product on one website.

A good website would plug at least 3 to 4 products at varying prices and also have Adsense Ads, generating a little extra income too.

Now! As your business grows, supposing you have grown to the dizzy heights of 4 websites, each earning similar revenue, this could equate to over half a million dollars in earnings each year.

You can see how quickly your potential market can grow, but remember, these sort of figures will not happen overnight. It will take time, determination and self belief before you reach these dizzy heights.

But at least now you can see why so many people are turning to the Internet and Making Money Online.
