Making Money Online - Your New
Beginning
There are some shortcuts you can make in online marketing and Working from Home, but you will still need to
learn the basics. Some marketers advertise that you can make $0000.00 within ten days… nonsense. If that were
so, then nobody would be working in the real world, we would all be millionaires lying on a beach some where!! But
you can start Making Money Online relatively easy and let it grow from there.
Don’t get me wrong, Making Money Online is very possible and you can make real money, and lots of it, but it all
takes time. When you were a child, I am sure you didn’t get on your first bike, and then just ride like a
professional, and you certainly didn’t win the Bicycle trophy in your first ten days.
The Internet is no different, it takes time, you first need to learn the skills required to operate your bike,
stability, confidence and of course determination.
Then once you have learnt to ride your bike (Internet Skills) you need to build on your strengths, practice over
and again, so that you can endure the long ride to the finish.
Once you have learnt the basic skills of the Internet, you can put these basic skills into action and start
Making Money Online, so that at least you can start earning from the shortest possible start point.
Then as you build your strengths, you can increase your port folio, earning more and more as time passes by.
Your first profit experience will probably come from Affiliate Commissions, which we will cover later.
My first affiliate commissions paid for our luxury holiday to Malta, so hopefully you can have the same
experience. It’s a real confidence booster.
But ultimately, your goal is to leverage profits from every corner of the Internet, and to build what
professionals call passive income, to ensure a very comfortable and long lasting income for many years to come.
This is quite easy to do, providing that you are disciplined in your approach, and that you don’t try to run
before you can walk.
Of course, on occasions you will fall off your bike, (we all did, when we first learnt to ride), but you just
get back on and try again. In the Internet world, falling off your bike could cost you money, so getting back on is
a little harder, but get on you must! As we have stepped on to the subject of costing money, let’s just add
this to the mix.
You will not start making money online without first spending some; unfortunately that is a fact of life.
You are not going to find a golden ticket whilst walking home one day.
Just like anything in life, you have to put a little in before you can take anything out. Now I am not
talking thousands of dollars here, but obviously there will be some expense.
The most obvious expense is the necessity of a computer to work on, but I am presuming you have this, as this
article is online. In layman’s terms, you need at least the following:
A computer, Internet connection, possibly a printer, as your new career progresses, I would also recommend that
you have some type of website building tool, there are many about, I use two myself, the basic Microsoft FrontPage
(which can be a little technical) and Xsitepro, which is an easy website builder and up loader. There are bigger
and better ones like Dreamweaver, as well. Xsitepro is a very good program at a very reasonable price, which I use
mainly for my Adsense sites, as these have literally hundreds of pages which needs nurturing and this program helps
considerably.
But basically, any website builder will do.
Many gurus today, state that you don’t even need a website to make money online, and whilst this is quite true
in the short term, if you want to make consistent profits and to build these profits to much higher levels, at some
point you will need your own website.
Amazon has recently changed their rules, so if you want to earn commissions from them, you must have your own
website, the days of sending Ads direct to Amazon have gone.
Just to give you an idea, I have about 17 active websites at this present time, and I am sure this will increase
as time goes on, but the idea here is to make profits from your first website, then use a little of that profit to
build your portfolio even further, hence you only spend more after you have made more.
As your portfolio grows, and you diversify into other areas of the internet, you will need other tools and
resources to help you along the way. There are too many to list here in this article and it will all depend on
your level of experience.
But in short, as you grow you will need the following basics:
Web Hosting (Important), Tools for building your websites; such as graphics packs, Photo’s, Headers etc, this is
to enable you to portray a professional look.
It does not matter at this stage what type of website you intend to build, be it a splash page to sell affiliate
products, Adsense, to earn income from advertisers, or full bodied websites which advertise many affiliate
products, just to name a few, but you will need decent graphics, pictures and headers.
Depending on which avenues you follow, you may also need SEO tools, PDF Creators, an Autoresponder and many
other Internet Marketing tools, and where required we will touch on them in further articles. (So please bookmark
our site and return on a regular basis).
For now though, just remember that there will be a small outlay to get started, and I recommend that you only
purchase the technical tools and services such as an autoresponder when you actually need them.
This is because the best tools on the Internet for marketers are normally by subscription, either paid monthly
or annually, so why buy them before you need them.
